PBS Profile

Introducing PBS, a new uniform keycap profile designed by Matt3o and brought to you by CannonKeys and Keyreative.

About the profile

PBS, short for "Penguin Belly Slide", is a uniform keycap profile- every row has the same height.

PBS uses a combination of a cylindrical front and back with a spherical top scoop. The result is a wide scooped contact area at the top, which enables a comfy and ergonomic typing experience.

Nice smooth feeling

I’m in love with these keycaps. The color goes perfectly with the rest of my keyboard and it not only feels amazing, looks amazing, but it also sounds amazing with my switches.

Smooth

Love these caps. Replaced DSA with Penguin Belly Slide. Much easier on the thumbs with convex caps on thumb clusters. Homing bar was much more pronounced than expected, and a welcomed surprise. Very happy with this set.

Best flat profile... in the world! (probably)

I've tried DSA, XDA, and PBS, and this is definitely the most comfortable flat profile I've used. Yes, it's all preference, as with everything in this hobby, but I loved the smooth but slightly grippy texture, and the way the keys were shaped made the experience very easy to transition to off of other more conventional profiles, such as cherry. One of the things that I love about uniform blanks is that you can basically do whatever you want when it comes to key placement, so if your keyboard has funky layout options, this will make it easier to experiment with instead of hoping that the keycap set you bought has something to fill that void without making it look weird or unbalanced.

All that said, any keyboard with a higher typing angle probably won't be a good fit for these, but at this price, why not experiment? I have both the white and black blanks and they're excellent quality, a lot of fun to play around with, and feel great to type on, to boot. What are you waiting for? BUY SOME... and thank me later.
