Into the depths...
This FRL TKL designed by Upas is themed after the three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hades. Cerberus won’t be here forever though, the group buy closes on November 19th.
Like the creature it is named after, the design of the Cerberus keyboard revolves around 3 major points of interest. An intricately engraved crest, three heads with glowing eyes, and removeable sides that can be swapped out for a different color. Each of these come together to create a keyboard that allows for customization, staying true to the theme.
Mounting Style
The Cerberus uses a single-sided gasket mount, just like our Brutal V2 keyboards. This means the plate makes contact with gaskets on the bottom case, and the actual case itself at the top. The result is a keyboard that mimics the classic sound profile of top mount, with a softer feel found in gasket mounts. Custom POM alignment pins are also used to help make assembly as easy as possible.
To customize your typing experience even further, force break gaskets slots are designed into the case. These slots can be used to install optional small gaskets that can help soften the typing feel and sound.
Wireless Enabled
Cerberus is designed with wireless in mind. Opt for the wireless kit to receive a ZMK powered PCB and battery that slots into the bottom case. Alternatively, you can choose a standard wired PCB. To learn more about ZMK, check out our recent blogpost.
Thoughtful Design
Details matter- and for Cerberus there were many small design decisions that helped form its identity. From extending the case slightly over the centered USB-C port to help hide the metal seen on cables, to using form fitting and easily removeable feet to keep the aesthetic clean, Cerberus is the product of several iterations and rounds of testing.

Why is this priced the way it is?
Cerberus, like many of our more premium keyboards we run, are made through small batch manufacturing. This means that due to the limited amount of keyboards we get made, prices end up being higher. This, combined with complex assembly found on lots of our boards and hand QC'ing in our stateside facility means we might not be able to offer prices as low as other options you see. We strongly feel the time and effort we put into our designs makes it worth it.
Thank you for considering our projects- it means we can continue trying new things and keep designing great boards for the custom mechanical keyboard hobby.
