Prototype-B Information
This sale is for prototype Type-B keyboards. These are not compatible with the EC kit, and have a prototype engraving on the bottom. Please use the images in the listing for more a reference for this engraving.
Note: Some of the tops have infilled color, this is not present in the production or prototype units.
Type-B
The Type-B by bababaul is a fresh take on the HHKB layout. Featuring an integrated USB hub, true HHKB layout, and introducing Hotdog Mount.
While prototype extras are being sold, no addons will be available.

Solder PCB / Plate Layout
Features
Hotdog Mount
By using small strips of an o-ring, hotdog mount is a fantastic combination of gasket strip and o-ring mounting. Alternatively, you can opt for the classic top mount.
Internals
Covering the inside and protecting the multiple daughterboards and cables is a brass plate. This helps with the acoustics, as well as providing some heft to the board.
Some images of the keyboard are shown with an infilled logo. For the GB units, the engravings will not be infilled.

QC Disclaimer
A Stock units should not have any external scratches or egregious marks seen when built. Any internal flaws and marks (including hook marks) that are not seen when built do not constitute a B Stock unit.
When raw or thinly coated, brass will oxidize and patina naturally. Small blemishes and discolorations may be visible.
Screw holes are not fully anodized or coated, and small marks near the hole opening might be present.
