Ortho48 v2
The Ortho48 v2 keyboard kit is in our beginner friendly Practice Series of in stock keyboards. The focus of this series is to provide a fun building experience that helps teach soldering in a tight budget. The best part about this series is not only does it help teach, but at the end you are left with a fully functional keyboard.
This revised version uses an RP2040 microcontroller, S1 daughterboard, and pre-soldered diodes/ports. An added benefit the daughterboard provides is the flexibility to position the USB port on the left, middle, or right side of the keyboard.
Just add keycaps, stabilizers, and switches for a complete build!

This was a REALLY fun board to build and it is so comfy to type on. Good way to get into learning soldering. I would love to have a bluetooth mod for it, but it is still perfect. Genuinely my favorite spot to buy boards

Aside from swapping out switches and other such things on keyboards, I hadn’t really experiment much, but this was a great first thing to try! It was not that scary and the VIA support is a bonus!
