Designed to be EC first, the CK980C is an in-house designed take on the classic FC980C electrocapacitive keyboard. Featuring a modernized isolated gasket mount, MX and EC compatibility, USB 3.0 hub, and much more.

Let's make Topre approachable
Traditionally, Topre keyboard builds have been difficult due to all the extra parts needed. With CK980C, we want to make it as simple as possible to source parts.
We will be offering multiple different part packs to assist with builds, including a special DynaCap kit.

Innovative Mounting
Most EC boards use tray or top mount, but we wanted to do something new. In addition to the classic top mount, CK980C also uses an upgraded version of gasket sandwich mount. To learn more about this innovative implementation of gasket mount, check out the IC on GeekHack.

A Stock units should not have any external scratches or egregious marks seen when built. Any internal flaws and marks (including hook marks) that are not seen when built do not constitute a B Stock unit.
Screw holes are not fully anodized or coated, and small marks near the hole opening might be present.
We try to use as many real pictures as we can to represent the keyboard as best as possible, however to supplement these photos we use renders occasionally. These renders may vary slightly compared to the final product.
Colors in the final product may vary since renders are done under idealistic artificial lighting.
When raw or thinly coated, brass will oxidize and patina naturally. Small blemishes and discolorations may be visible.
