Soleil is not only powered by the sun, but also by the ambient light in your surroundings.
With no light at all, we expect the hyper efficient Soleil to last up to 10 months of normal use. With just a touch of ambient light to supplement the charge, we expect this to surpass 12 months of use.
Soleil is not only designed for today, but also for the future.
Attention to detail
Like the functionality found within the board, the case design pulls inspiration from nature. Natural wood enveloped by precision milled aluminum to complete a modern aesthetic that can fit into any desk setup.
We didn't stop there though- Soleil was designed for longevity, with most of the wooden pieces fitting into the keyboard without the need for screws directly threading into the wood. A striking balance of both form and function.
Every Surface
No surface was overlooked with designing Soleil. The front features the same bloom seen on the side to ensure every angle of the keyboard showcases the vision behind the design.
Front and Center
Wood is right at the center of the Soleil, with accents containing the power center of the keyboard.
Intentional Design
For Soleil, we have opted for wooden accents externally and internally to keep the weight low and carry the natural theme throughout the board.
The result is a lower weight keyboard, perfect for bringing with you on the go thanks to the 10+ month battery life.

Customize your keymap with ZMK Studio, a real time keymapping software (similar to VIA).
ZMK is an open source firmware built specifically for custom wireless keyboards. It is incredibly power efficient, allowing you to get the most out of your battery. We estimate that with normal use and RGB off, you should be able to get six months or more out of the included battery per charge. Like QMK, ZMK lets you customize your keymap and so much more.

Soleil is coming soon to CannonKeys, and will be sold through a group buy. Our goal is to have the keyboard start at $450 or less- the more interest we get, the lower we can price the board.
