Hi everyone,

On Monday, December 9th at 1PM ET a few more sets of PBS Black on Black, and I thought now would be a good opportunity to talk about PBS profile. We’ve been really thrilled to see your excitement around PBS, and have some updates to share with you.

First - I want to thank everyone who has purchased PBS profile keycaps so far. I believe that they are the best uniform profile out there, and matt3o knocked it out of the park with the way it feels! We hope you are enjoying your PBS sets as much as we are enjoying typing on ours. For those of you who joined in on MV Classic - production has already started, and we’re eager to get these manufactured and into your hands.

Next, I wanted to talk a bit more about what’s coming next with PBS. So far, we’ve launched PBS Blanks and PBS Black on Black as in-stock products, and PBS MV Classic as a group buy. I know people are waiting to buy more PBS Blanks and hoping for more PBS Black on Black - we will be restocking these ASAP, and hope to have a more concrete timeline for you soon! These will remain as in-stock products. We’re also going to be adding PBS Black on White to our stable of in-stock products as well.

We’ll have PBS Beige Blanks as well available as a limited drop - depending on how that does, we’ll decide to continue to stock it or not. In general - we hope to have some of the “standards” for PBS stocked in perpetuity. They might go out of stock intermittently, but we will try to keep restocking them as long as the community still wants them!

I also want to share our upcoming PBS group buy launch calendar. These next group buys are all going to launch on CannonKeys in the coming months, and feature both Traditional and 40s/Ortho base kits. By running these as group buys, we can bring these more specific kits to market, and we really appreciate the 40s/Ortho support we’ve seen so far!

Starting us off in January, we will be launching PBS Aperture Priority designed by AkukoLabs. This set will launch on January 6, 2025, and will end on February 10, 2025. We hope to place the order for this set with Keyreative as soon as they are back from the Chinese New Year holiday so that we can get these into your hands as soon as possible! We’ve shown this set off at meetups and we know there’s a lot of excitement around this one, so we can’t wait to launch it. The normal base kit will be $79 and the 40s/Ortho base kit will be $74. This is a bit higher than MV Classic due to the amount of reverse dyesub keys. Check out our sample photos here on the coming soon page to take a look at the high-quality dyesub.

And while we don’t have solid dates set yet, we will be launching the following sets in subsequent months:

  • February - PBS Galaxy
    PBS Galaxy

A set based on our internally designed NicePBT Galaxy set - featuring a blue to purple gradient, and interstellar novelties!

  • March - PBS Strawberry Milk
    PBS Strawberry Milk Photo
Our first PBS set to feature Hangul legends, featuring all the cute and sweet vibes that come with a delicious glass of strawberry milk, without the lactose. Maybe not quite as delicious as the real deal, but every bit as fun!

  • April - PBS Goblin Mode by Ty
PBS Goblin Mode on a keyboard

A set you want to be
goblin up, designed by Ty with custom mods inspired by magical runes, custom legends, and goblin-inspired novelties.

I’ve shown current photos of sample sets here, but these three sets are still undergoing development - whether that is refining the legends, updating or adding novelties, or improving kitting. Ty has confirmed that he’ll be adding a 40s/Ortho set to PBS Goblin Mode as well! Expect to see more details in the coming weeks / months!

Finally, we are always looking for more PBS sets to run! While our schedule is packed for PBS from January to April - PBS is open to anyone! If you’re a designer and would rather work with another US vendor, or self-run a keyset, that is more than possible. We are happy to facilitate PBS for anyone. If you’re interested in running a PBS set with us after April 2025, we’d love to hear from you in our collaboration form!
