Hello everyone,

Upas from CannonKeys here with some news about the idb60. I have received most of the necessary parts to start fulfilling idb60 orders, and they will soon start shipping to all US buyers who purchased on CannonKeys, once the final parts arrive this week.

Now, I know some of you are wondering something that a lot of us have been wondering. Where is Pngu? And to be frank, we are not sure. When I agreed to run this project with Pngu, communication was great and I had no signs that anything would go wrong. But I personally haven’t heard from Pngu since the beginning of August.

We’ve seen instances in the past of people taking group buy money and running away with it. Luckily, this is not one of those instances. Pngu sent me money for PCBs and O rings prior to his disappearance, and also paid the factory for all the cases. The cases have been completed. As such, we may still able to fulfill the orders. But, we are in a bit of a bind.

At the moment, since Pngu is the person who paid the factory, he is the only person able to release the cases for shipping. While I am in contact with the factory, they could be held liable if they ship the cases elsewhere, and Pngu came back and demanded the cases. At this time, they are not willing to ship the cases to anyone but Pngu. I am working with them to develop a contingency plan and hopefully get them to release the cases.

All that being said, once the cases are able to be released, we have a fulfillment plan.

Jae from TopClack has graciously volunteered to act as a trusted proxy in order to fulfill all outstanding idb60 orders. Unfortunately, even with our planning, Pngu is the only person who has the list of orders, and also has all the shipping money to get those orders out. So in order to figure out who should get these idb60s, we will require proof of purchase. We're still trying to determine what should constitute proof of purchase. If you have any ideas, please reach out and let us know.

The idb60 had an incredibly aggressive price point, and not much of a profit margin. This also means I do not have enough money to cover the cost of packing and shipping all of the non-US orders. Everyone outside the US who bought an idb60 will receive a $10 shipping credit funded by the profits from the idb60s sold on CannonKeys. We need your help with the remainder of the shipping costs, so invoices will be sent for the remainder. We realize this is not fair, but we are all making sacrifices in order to make this group buy a success.

Again, I understand that this is a very rough situation. And this is the best solution we could find. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me on the CannonKeys or idb60 discord, or via email at support@cannonkeys.com. Jae will also be speaking to this later today, on his stream in about 2 hours.
